blog friends for the assist...

So I volunteered to make chili for our Pastor appreciation lunch next week and I want to make a turkey chili (for myself) and a regular beef chili.  However I haven't made plain old beef chili in SOOOOO long that I figured I'd see if any of you have that "go to" chili recipe that you'd like to share with me!  I'm confident enough in my cooking skills that I can wing it if I need to (or I wouldn't have volunteered), but if you have a recipe to share, I would really appreciate it!

1lb Hamburger Meat
1 can dark kidney beans
1 can light kidney beans
2 cans Rotel
1 can Ranch Style Beans with jalapenos
1 Package McCormick Chili Seasoning
Brown meat, drain. Stir everything together in a big pot and simmer. Sometimes I will add Fiesta Corn to it too!

I made MRS Muffins chili recipe last week! It was really good..especially after simmering for several hours. It looks like a long list of ingredients, but most of it is just spices that I have in my cupboard :) PS--If you click over to her recipe, I used ground beef rather than veggie crumbles..

I posted a chili recipe a few weeks ago...I think its filed under Yan Can Cook on my blog. Otherwise its a variation on the "It's Chili by George!" recipe on AllRecipes.com. I used his recipe but changed it to ground turkey for us, but the original recipe is for beef.

If you can find it, I highly recommend the Lawry's chili spice pack recipe. We've always done McCormick's and then last time did Lawry's. Oh. My. Goodness. So good!!
