I haven't quite figured out my new life. Managing time is significantly more difficult when you're working full time. I'll get it down eventually but for now, I'm just happy to be blogging whenever I can. Even if it means you get a NYE update a week into the new year.
We didn't have a whole lot of excited options for NYE but I didn't want to stay in watching How I Met Your Mother reruns like we'd done for the past 2 weeks so we loaded up our dog and headed to spend the night with Jason's dad in Palm Desert. We got on the road a little later than expected and hadn't made it a quarter of the way into our trip when our car decided to send 2013 out with a bang. Literally. A blow out at 70 MPH. Thankfully the husband was driving and there to do all the manly things (those lug nuts were on wicked tight).
We had to drive the rest of the way with the donut (thankfully it was a full size) so we didn't actually make it to Jason's dad's place until after 10. We decided to head to the local casino to ring in the new year but not before we gorged ourselves on some crab legs. (Miss you U's, and our awesome camping trip)
It was nice to celebrate the new year surrounded by lots of people, even if we didn't know any of them.
The best part of the night for me was the free photo booth they had set up. I'm slightly obsessed with them.
