10 on 10 {February 2014}

I truly enjoy participating in the 10 on 10 project every month but it's really hard to be creative when you spent most of your day in a beige office with a beige desk and a beige chair and beige...you get the idea.  This month I decided to go with a theme for my 10 photos, not the most exciting theme, but a theme none the less.

0900
I'm trying to make this manicure last as long as possible but I think it's about time for a new one.

0900
Stamping documents.

1000
Taking notes during a meeting, and f/u means follow up, not what your dirty mind is thinking.

1100
Off to buy a sandwich to go with the soup I brought from home.

1200
Lunch time.

1300
Sending emails.

1400
Making a call.

1500
Entering data.

1600
Snack time.  There is a new farmer selling strawberries daily down the street from our house and I can't get enough!  The homemade whipped cream is delicious too.

1700
My honey took the car today so he dropped me off and picked me up from work, it was nice to start and end my work day with him.

10 on 10

ten on ten button

I love participating in 10 on 10.  10 photos in 10 hours on the 10th day of each month.  It's super easy (when you remember to participate) and always fun.  My photos are from my iPhone but one day I'll start doing this with my actual camera!

0800
Shower time.

0900
I never leave the house without mascara.

1000
At our local sports bar to watch the Bengals game.

1100
Not having a good week in fantasy football.

1200
My husband and his father discussing the football action.

1300
Leaving Kristy's.  I'd heard about the spankings but this is the first time I've witnessed one.  Apparently it's for newbies...luckily we missed the initiation on our first visit.

1400
Relocated to the couch for more football watching.

1500
That quickly turned into nap time for one of us.

1600
Blogging on my husbands computer for, what I hope is, the last time.
(mine has been repaired and should be here tomorrow)

1700
Jason wanted frozen pizza for dinner so that's what he got.  He started with 5 slices but when he turned his back to give me a "thank you for making dinner" kiss, our turd of a dog reached up and snatched a piece.

10 on 10 {April}

This year is completely flying by!  I wish time would slow down but since it won't, I'm grateful for the 10 on 10.  It helps me remember to take time to enjoy my every day life.

0800
Woke up to a throbbing hormone headache...this stuff is my miracle drug!

0900
Driving past my favorite produce market on my way to teach.

1000
"Teaching" English today...I just don't know what to teach some days!
(suggestions are welcome ladies!)

 1100
Quick stop for lunch on my way home.

1200
Putting dinner in the crock pot. Intramural volleyball started this week and I'm attempting to play (for the first time in 15 years...you should see my poor arms!) which means we don't sit down for dinner until at least 2000, and that's if I do use the crock pot!

1300
Finally got someone to answer the phone and CTC and was able to schedule my history midterm.  I'm so close to being finished with school!

1400
Mailbox JACKPOT!

1500
Hitting up the 100 yen store for some care package goodies!

1600
I've never met a dog that likes to play fetch as much as Huck...my poor arm is tired from throwing the ball!

1700
I have missed this game more than I realized...I've also lost any skills I might have had 15 years ago!

10 on 10 {March}

I love the 10 on 10 challenge every month and I love it even more when I remember to participate!

0800
We babysat overnight last night so we were up early (for us, on a Sunday).

0900
It was 70 degrees here all weekend so it was time for my 1st at home pedi of the year.

1000
Much better!  All ready for spring!

1100
We ALMOST made it to church on time...almost!

1200
Drinks on the patio at the golf course for lunch.

1300
Two bags of treats later and Buster finally figured out he can just push his way through our new screen door that has a magnetic opening.

1400
Folding origami.

1500
Play time at the laundromat (they wanted to go, we didn't drag them, I promise!)

 1600
A nasty "sand" storm rolled through town today...on a normal day you would see mountains in the background of this image.  Today it was just an ugly brown sky.

1700
Picking up some veggies to go with dinner tonight.

I hope everyone had a great 10th of March.  Tomorrow is the two year anniversary of the great Tohoku earthquake/tsunami.  Please take a moment out of your day to say a prayer for the people of Tohoku and Japan.

Photo A Day {February}

HOORAY!!!

As of yesterday, I have officially completed a year long photo challenge project, something that is on my 30 while 30 list and my life long bucket list!  I started many of these projects in the past and never made it to the half way point, much less the end, so this is a huge accomplishment for me.  I guess I just hadn't found the right one until Fat Mum Slim came along!  I'm going to continue posting my photos on Instagram, because I love participating but you won't see the monthly recaps here so if you want to see the photos from here on out, you'll have to follow me over there @bleudressnjapan!

Photo A Day {Jan}

I have been following along with Fat Mum Slim's daily photo challenge for 11 months now.  That means when February ends I will have completed a full year photo project which is one of the items on my bucket list.  I will most likely continue posting the daily photo on Instagram, but I think I'm going to stop sharing the monthly round-ups on the blog.  If you aren't already following me on Instagram, look me up!

Here is the list of prompts for the month and my photos from January!

10 on 10 {Jan}

It's the 10th of the month which means another installment of the 10 on 10 photo project!  I've started setting an alarm on my phone to remind me because the reminder post she publishes comes out too late for me and that seems to be working, this is my 2nd month in a row remembering in time to participate!

0900
adding honey to my smoothie

1000
folding laundry

1100
checking in at the gym

1200
finally trying yoga for the 1st time

1300
quick lunch after the gym

1400
shower time {They don't sell curtains here that are as long as our shower opening so I had to buy these hooks from the hardware store to make it work.  Gotta love Army housing!}

1500
visiting my best friend for our daily "therapy session"

1600
running errands {I HATE that I get my magazine subscriptions 6 weeks after they show up on the shelves.  The information is mostly irrelevant by that time!}

1700
planning our next trip

1800
visiting with an amazing woman I met in Ishinomaki while she's in town for a few days

Pretty good day, I'd say!  I'm glad I have it documented.

Did you participate?  I'd love to see what your day looks like!
