A few random things...

1.  This makes me seriously happy!

I've never chosen  a side between Edward and Jacob, they both have their special places in my heart, but 1/2 way through this trailer, Jacob reached in and yanked the strings attached to my heart!  I seriously got tears in my eyes during a min and thirty second trailer....I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE TO COME OUT!

2. I DO NOT TALK ABOUT POLITICS with anyone...it never turns out well!  (during the 2006 presidential elections I had friends that ran in the same circle of friends who had shirts that said "friends don't let friends vote democrat" and "friends don't let friends vote republican" so I went out and had a shirt made that said "friends don't let friends talk politics" and it is now my favorite shirt to wear during elections) But this article made me SICK and I couldn't not share it!  No matter your political view or your opinions on homosexuals, I do not understand how people can do this:

Justices to hear case over protests at military funerals
You can read the whole article here:

but the point I want to talk about is "A small Kansas church that has gained nationwide attention for protesting loudly at funerals of U.S. service members....The church, led by pastor Fred Phelps, said it believes God is punishing the United States for "the sin of homosexuality" through events such as soldiers' deaths."

AYKM?!?!?!?

1st of all, who is so caught up in their own agendas that they have to trample on grieving families? And 2nd, what the hell do soldiers deaths have to do with homosexuality?!?!?  Where in your twisted mind to you connect the 2????

Thanks Tori! We're so excited! My husband volunteered for a 12 month deployment to get the duty station of his choice and they happened to have an opening in Japan and he jumped on it! I was apprehensive at 1st, but I've done some research and I couldn't be more excited now! We've known since October but just finally got the orders. It's so good to know that it's "official" now!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by. Congrats on Japan, that sounds fabulous!

Re: that "church." It's not really a church. They created a Baptist "church" so that they could operate as a quasi-religious political group and be protected by the "church" title, and they made it Baptist because Baptist churches are autonomous and not under any hierarchy like, for example, an Episcopal church is. So they can do and say whatever they want with no accountability. In fact, when they came to Oklahoma, our State Legislature created a passed a law specifically designed to to keep them away from military funerals in our state. The author of the bill goes to my church. So what do they do? Show up on Sunday morning and stage a protest outside our church - our conservative Southern Baptist church - all morning. It was quite the scene. So, yeah, I've had some dealings with Westboro. They are a bunch of nuts.

i also hate hate hate politics but also couldn't help but exercise my free speech on that matter... here was my google buzz:

here's my exercise of free speech: you people are idiots. why would God choose the ONLY establishment where you CANNOT be openly gay to take out anger against homosexuality? God didn't destroy Bethlehem when Sodom and Gomorrah were the ones sinning. Fred Phelps, i hope no one at all shows up to your funeral. you have no heart.
